Our next event is a scrumptious Afternoon Tea with Sue Lawrence! We’re celebrating the launch of New Scottish Baking, a fully updated edition of her classic cookbook. Plus, we’ll be discussing her latest novel, Lady’s Rock: a gripping tale of clan warfare, revenge and romance. We can’t think of a more perfect way to spend a Saturday afternoon!

 

Tickets are £12 which includes afternoon tea, plus discount on book sales on the day.

Mairi Kidd is a hugely accomplished author, publisher, broadcaster and champion of the Gaelic language. She has written bestsellers including We Are All Witches, Warriors, Witches and Damn Rebel Bitches, and Feisty and Fiery and Fierce and we are very much looking forward to welcoming her to Linlithgow for the first time to discuss her work.

As this is James' first visit to Linlithgow, we'll also talk about the phenomenon that is Inspector McLean, and get an update on the highland cows!

It also features work by much-missed John Burnside, his work representing the very best of modern Scottish poetry

Scottish Religious Poetry celebrates the range and breadth of Scottish poetry written from a variety of religious perspectives and this event will appeal to all lovers of Scottish literature.
