As we head into the longest nights of the year, we’re extending our opening hours! We’re now open ‘til late every Wednesday evening, pop in for a quiet browse, to collect your order - or to place an order.
Late opening on Thursdays will begin in November and we’ll have some Christmas Late Night Shopping events nearer to the big day: watch this space for dates!

Join us as we welcome James Oswald to discuss Broken Ghosts, a gothic tale of loss and longing, set between Scotland and Wales. This Celtic connection of a book is perfect for a cosy Halloween treat. We’re also looking forward to catching up with James on all things Inspector Maclean, and the goings on down at his farm - particularly his Highland cows!

Scottish Religious Poetry

St Peter’s Church, Linlithgow
Join us as the three editors of the much-anticipated follow-up to the hugely popular Scottish Religious Poetry discuss this brand new anthology. Including work by some of Scotland’s best-known writers, including Mary Queen of Scots, Robert Louis Stevenson and Kathleen Jamie; as well as newer voices such as Jen Hadfield and Roseanne Watt, and Gaelic poets Sorley Maclean and Iain Crichton Smith. It also features work by much-missed John Burnside, his work representing the very best of modern Scottish poetry.
Scottish Religious Poetry celebrates the range and breadth of Scottish poetry written from a variety of religious perspectives and this event will appeal to all lovers of Scottish literature.
